Thanks to Our Guest Speaker for February 15

We would like to extend our thanks to Dr. Bryan Heidorn from the University of Arizona for a wonderful presentation on his citizen science project to measure the feeding patterns of two species of Arizona bats.  Dr. Heidorn has taken science and technology to new heights by using a digital recorder and software for measuring the night time feeding by bats at hummingbird feeders.  Hopefully, this will give scientists data for studying the bats.  If any of our members are interested in helping construct the monitoring devices when the cards are available, you can let Ann know and she will forward your information to Dr. Heidorn.  Thanks to Dr. Heidorn for a wonderful program.
